This Privacy Policy explains how Unjamm Inc. ("Unjamm", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the Unjamm flight compensation service (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for the information described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your name, email address and password.
- Flight itineraries — booking confirmations you forward to us, including flight numbers, dates, routes, booking references and passenger names.
- Claim & identity information — details needed to verify you and pursue a claim, such as a signed authorisation, boarding passes and, where required by an airline, identity documents.
- Payout details — the bank or payment information needed to send you recovered compensation.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser and usage data, and cookies used to operate and improve the Service.
- Flight status data obtained from aviation data providers (such as FlightAware) for the flights you submit.
2. How we use your information
- To monitor your flights and detect qualifying disruptions.
- To assess, prepare, submit and negotiate compensation and refund claims on your behalf.
- To pay out recovered compensation and process any optional subscription.
- To communicate with you about claims, your account and the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.
3. Legal bases
We process your information to perform our contract with you (handling your claims), where you have given consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
4. Sharing your information
We share personal information only as needed to deliver the Service, including with: airlines and their agents when pursuing your claim; legal partners where a claim requires legal action; aviation-data, payment, identity-verification and cloud-hosting providers acting on our behalf; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to pursue claims, then only as long as required for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. You may ask us to delete data that we are not required to retain.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and other industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data at every step.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@unjamm.com.
8. International transfers
Because claims and airlines span multiple countries, your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
