Welcome to Unjamm. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Unjamm website, apps and services (the "Service"), operated by Unjamm Inc. ("Unjamm", "we", "us"). By creating an account, forwarding a flight itinerary to us, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Unjamm does
Unjamm is an automated air-passenger rights service. We monitor flights you submit to us, assess whether a disruption qualifies for compensation or a refund under applicable regulations — including EU Regulation 261/2004, UK 261, Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR), US Department of Transportation rules, and the Montreal Convention — and, where you authorise us, pursue those claims against airlines on your behalf.
Unjamm is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Where a claim requires legal proceedings, we may engage third-party partners to act on your behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You may submit claims only for flights you were booked to travel on, or on behalf of fellow passengers who have authorised you to do so.
3. Authorisation & Power of Attorney
To pursue a claim, you grant Unjamm a limited assignment or power of attorney authorising us to contact the airline, submit your claim, negotiate, and receive compensation on your behalf. This authorisation may remain valid for up to two years so we can monitor future flights without asking you to sign again. You may withdraw it at any time for flights where a claim has not yet been submitted.
4. Fees — no win, no fee
Creating an account and having Unjamm monitor your flights is free. If we successfully recover compensation or a refund for you, we deduct a flat success fee of 25% (inclusive of applicable taxes) from the amount recovered and pay you the remainder. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing. Optional paid plans (such as Unjamm Plus) are billed separately as described at checkout and may be cancelled at any time.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete flight and passenger information.
- Not accept, negotiate or settle a submitted claim directly with the airline without telling us.
- Forward any communication or payment you receive from the airline relating to a claim we are handling.
- Not submit fraudulent, duplicate or already-settled claims.
6. Payouts
Once an airline pays a claim, we transfer your share to your nominated payout method after deducting our success fee. Payout timing depends on the airline and your chosen method. Compensation may be paid in the currency of the governing regulation.
7. Limitation of liability
We cannot guarantee any particular outcome or amount. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unjamm is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for an airline's refusal or delay in paying a valid claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Authorisations for claims already in progress survive termination until those claims conclude.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
